Federico Muelas is the founder of Federico Muelas INC. He was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1974 where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in 1999. In 2002 he acquire his Fine Arts Master Degree in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York, where he currently holds a position as a Professor of Physical Computing and Electronics in the Masters and Bachelor program.    From 1997 to the present his awarded work has been exhibited throughout Europe, Unites States, Scandinavia, Asia and South America, having being recently awarded a prestigious grant from the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in Computer Arts and the Third Price at Life 7.0 International New Media Art competition.

As each project coming out of the studio is unique it requires unique skills and knowledge to be developed. That’s why, for each assignment, a different group of experts from different disciplines is brought together into the project as collaborators.    The projects developed in the studio range from Permanent Public Art Commissions to ephemeral Art installations where the traditional Art medium is fused with the most advanced sensing and audiovisual technology.
